Sarcasm in Sarawakian NgekTsaiArmy Official YouTube Videos

Sarcasm typically uses particular phrases in a figurative sense, and occasionally contains insults or reproaches, which makes it unpleasant to hear. However, certain context, sarcasm is also used make remarks, criticism, advice towards an individual group of people, related issue. This study analyses the use NgekTsaiArmy Official YouTube videos, channel managed by NgekTsai who famous social media influencer vlogger from Sarawak. The method content analysis analysing data utterances characters videos with themes family, society, education, work, culture. were analysed based on Speech Act Theory (Searle, 1969). findings show that there are four types language acts exist namely assertive, directive, expressive, commissive. Although this act elements sarcasm, uttered mostly aim making public aware current issues, thus providing useful positive input public. In addition, culture dialect Sarawak Malay community highlighted unique way attracts attention its viewers.
